Research Interests

Epigenetic mechanisms involved in transcriptional gene regulation by oestrogen, in breast cancer cell lines.

Interest in the field of dietary chemoprevention, which refers to the use of naturally occurring molecules to prevent or retard tumor development. Understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the protective role of specific micronutrients on the onset and progression of the disease.

Field of expertise: cellular and molecular biology. Bioassays with plant extracts for isolation of anti-proliferative compounds.
