L'Olivetti Heart Study è uno studio epidemiologico collaborativo internazionale sui fattori di rischio cardiovascolare, condotto in un campione di popolazione lavorativa dellíItalia Meridionale.

Popolazione in esame: coorte di circa 1000 individui di sesso maschile (90% della forza lavoro degli stabilimenti dellíazienda Olivetti in Campania), esaminati per la prima volta nel 1975 (follow-up 1980, 1987, 1994-95 e, in corso, 2001-02).

I dati sono stati raccolti secondo protocolli standardizzati (JAMA 1993; 270: 354-9).

Saranno disponibili:

• Indici antropometrici
• Frequenza cardiaca e pressione arteriosa
• ECG
• Parametri metabolici
• Indici di funzione renale
• Informazioni anamnestiche
• Storia alimentare.

b) banca biologica  (campioni ematici ed urinari)
 

c) banca genetica
